Marcus Zaayman, MD
Clinical Research Fellow & Sub-Investigator
Dr. Zaayman was born in Pretoria, South Africa where he grew up and completed high school. He is bilingual, being fluent in both English and Afrikaans. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Texas at Dallas. After receiving an undergraduate degree, he went on to attend medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine. On completion of his medical degree, he completed two years of General Surgery post-graduate training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
Dr. Zaayman is interested in pursuing a career in dermatology, with a strong interest in psoriasis, eczema and surgical interventions to alleviate skin pathology. He is delighted to commence his career in dermatology with a two-year clinical research fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center under the direction of Dr. Alan Menter. He serves as a sub-investigator for numerous clinical trials at MDRI.
