Menter Dermatology Research Institute was established to address the ongoing need for new, clinically safe and effective treatments for physically and psychologically debilitating skin diseases. MDRI has a significant and long-standing interest in psoriasis research and treatment. We are pleased to be offering clinical studies for a wide range of both rare and common skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, pemphigus, and skin cancers.

Dr. Alan Menter has years of dedication to psoriasis research, including involvement in over 150 clinical research trials over the past 35 years. In 2011 Dr. Alan Menter opened a specialty Research Center in Dallas, Texas. Menter Dermatology Research Institute (MDRI) was established to combine Dr. Menter’s interest in both clinical Dermatology and Research locally, nationally, and internationally.

For years, Dr. Menter has been involved in clinical research trials for psoriasis and is considered a leader and innovator in psoriasis treatment. His dedication has put him at the frontier of investigational therapies in psoriasis and he has now expanded his research interest through clinical trials in a host of other dermatologic disease processes.

Clinical Research Trials are a necessary requirement of the FDA in the process of approving new medications, procedures and devices. Our research patients, through their participation in these trials, contribute to advancing science, as well as potentially benefiting from the treatments being tested.

Each clinical trial must be submitted to an Institutional Review Board (IRB) for approval before the study can be performed.
